Awami League Leader Admits to Bombing Attack on Khaleda Zia's Car in Zoom Meeting.

An Awami League leader has admitted to involvement in a bombing attack on former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s car during a Joy Bangla Brigade Zoom meeting, a group actively coordinating online and offline activities in support of Awami League.

The meeting, which has reportedly been attended by Sheikh Hasina 17 times since August 5, was infiltrated on February 5, leading to widespread disruptions.

The Joy Bangla Brigade, led by Dr. Rabbi Alam, a U.S.-based Awami League leader, has previously discussed acquiring weapons for regime change and executing political attacks. The February 5 Zoom session was disrupted after access codes were leaked, allowing thousands to join. Participants expressed distress over the vandalism of the Dhanmondi 32 residence, while infiltrators took control of the meeting. Clips from the incident have since circulated widely, with organizers vowing further actions in the future.
