The Korean Movie and Pop Festival 2025 was held in Chattogram with vibrant arrangements, showcasing the richness and diversity of Korean culture. The festival was organised by the Association of Koreans in Chittagong to promote cultural exchange and engagement.
The day-long event was inaugurated on Saturday, December 13, at 3:00 pm through a cake-cutting ceremony at the Theatre Institute in the city. Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain attended the opening as the chief guest, while South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Park Young-sik was present as the special guest.
Also attending the program were Chairman of the Association of Koreans in Chittagong Mr. Paik, Korean Embassy Consul Mr. Mohsin, Woori Bank Branch Manager SM Rakibul Hasan, and BD K Family Founder Saiful Islam.
As part of the festival’s special attractions, live performances were presented on stage by Celestial V, Heaven’s Law, and dancer Kash. A special lucky draw was also arranged for the audience, where participants won a range of attractive prizes.
Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed screenings of Korean films, opportunities to taste Korean cuisine, and various cultural activities. More than a hundred people took part in the festival, reflecting the growing interest in Korean culture among residents of Chattogram.
